Yes. According to the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA), ultrasound has been used safely in pregnancy for decades and uses sound waves - not radiation. All ultrasounds at our studio are elective, non-diagnostic, and do not replace medical care from your healthcare provider.

Is this a medical or diagnostic ultrasound?

No. All ultrasounds performed at our studio are elective and non-diagnostic, intended for bonding and keepsake purposes only. We do not diagnose, treat, or evaluate medical conditions.

Will insurance cover this ultrasound?

Accepted Answer

No. Because our ultrasounds are elective and non-medical, insurance does not cover the cost. All services are self-pay.

How early can I come in for an ultrasound?

Early bonding or heartbeat sessions are usually available starting around 6 weeks, depending on the service selected.

Can you determine the baby’s gender?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Gender can often be determined between 13 weeks+ depending on baby’s position.

What if I don’t want to know my baby’s gender?

Accepted Answer

No problem at all. If you prefer not to know your baby’s gender, please let your technician know at the start of your appointment. We are happy to keep it a surprise or provide the result in a sealed envelope for a later reveal.

What if my baby isn’t in a good position during the scan?

Accepted Answer

If we are unable to obtain clear images, we may recommend hydration, movement, or a return visit in accordance with studio policy.

Can family members or children attend the session?

Yes. We welcome partners, siblings, and family members. Guest limits may apply depending on room size and studio guidelines

What credentials do your ultrasound technicians have?

All ultrasounds are performed by trained and experienced ultrasound technicians, many of whom hold RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) credentials or equivalent training. Our team follows established safety guidelines for elective ultrasound imaging.
